Thompson Estate Vineyard is a Margaret River vineyard of considerable natural beauty which produces wines of internationally recognized quality and elegance. Since its founding in 1997, it has become recognized as one of the leaders in the region. It is set in gently sloping location in Wilyabrup surrounded by native trees, and has a strong emphasis on sustainable viticulture and environmentally sensitive land management. The focus on quality and consistency in the vineyard and state of the art winery produces highly regarded wines exported to ten countries. As a family owned company, it regards some support for the arts as one of its responsibilities.

The colour is deep crimson red with a purple edge. The nose shows an abundance of lifted red berry fruits, cherries and a hint of cassis. Cinnamon, clove and cedar spice combined with a violet lift enhances the aroma and increases complexity.
On the palate, it is a succulent, rich, medium to full bodied wine layered with generous red berry and fine blackberry fruits. Dark cherry and currant flavors combine with subtle spice and mocha notes finishing with delightful, fine, silky smooth tannins.
